Design of two rooms and a cafe in the Czartoryski Museum in Cracow. In the creation of spaces both elegant and inviting it was essential for their design to pay homage to the museum’s historic foundations and exhibits while simultaneously appealing to the contemporary museum-goers modern sensibilities. Consequently, only fine materials of the highest quality were used in the creation of simple compositions that, with dignified restraint, convey the spirit of passion through which the museum flourished into a unique vessel of culture, art and history. An integral part of the project is the cafe, which entices passersby to take a peak at the museums collection while providing a comfortable spot to rest after a visit. Its colour scheme and decor complement the museum’s serenity without competing with its exhibition.
